Firehouse cafe: Ribs and more!

Martin is an M.D.  He is prone to doing weird things which really annoy the Bacolod Food Hunters, such as

1.) Waking up in the middle of the night and waking everyone else just because he dreamed that a patient came in.

2.) Going into full battle hyper-active mode every time the word “emergency” is mentioned.

3.) Falling asleep at odd times, anywhere and under weird circumstances too

So one night when we were driving past a new building, Martin slammed on the brakes and jerked the car to the side.

“WTF man?!” Everybody complained.

“Ambulance”  Martin replied matter-of-factly pointing towards something that was flashing red and blue.

Everybody stared and then laughed!

I’ll take you there tomorrow to eat” promised an embarassed Martin.    Editor’s note –> This shut everyone up.

Fire house grill is one of Bacolod’s newest restaurants with a very unique theme.  A fire station theme!  It is complete with a sign that flashes red and blue and a miniature faux fire hydrant!  So cute!

Firehouse grill

The inside of Firehouse grill was done up in shades of red and white.  Inside it was cold and inviting.

Fancy a drink? This place serves beer after sundown

The owner’s collection of fire engines lined the walls.  Really Really fun!

Excuse the mosaic, I was grinning like an Idiot. :-)

A fire engine helmet too!

Fireman number 119.

This would be a fun place for kids to dine.  They can watch the fire engine models and pretend they’re in a real fire station.

As for food, Firehouse grill’s specialty is ribs.  Very generously-proportioned servings with a price that won’t break your wallet.

Ribs! Ribs! Ribs!

Another specialty that lovers of hot and spicy food must try is their BOOMBASTIX.  It’s cheese sticks with a whole green chili served with a garlic mayo dip.

Delicious! Be prepared to drink lots of water!!

Firehouse grill also offers a tempting array of sweets and cakes.

Cakes!

This place is fun fun fun!  There’s lots of people dining here, especially koreans and the owner of the place hangs around a lot.  You can chat with him about his love of firefighting and fire engines!  Budget-wise most of the main meals are below 100 pesos with the really good and large meals at 150-190.
